What is an Expose and Bond?
When the teeth are stuck from coming into the mouth they are called “impacted teeth.” When these are front teeth they often require a procedure call expose and bond. In this procedure your Oral Surgeon will expose the tooth and put orthodontic braces on the impacted tooth to pull it down into the mouth.
What Is The Procedure Like?
The procedure is simple. Dr. Baker or Dr. Delsol will give you some gentle sedation so you don’t remember or feel anything. Then the tooth that was previously mapped with our sophisticated imaging system is exposed. After the tooth is visible a small orthodontic bracket (braces) are applied to the tooth and connected to the braces on your other teeth.
